About this Safari

The Machame Route — known as the "Whiskey Route" — is one of Kilimanjaro's most scenic and popular climbing paths. Its steep, challenging profile combined with high-altitude acclimatization days makes it one of the best routes for summit success. After 6 days on the mountain ascending through five distinct climate zones from tropical rainforest to arctic summit glaciers, climbers descend to celebrate their achievement before a well-deserved wildlife safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro. The combination of human achievement on the world's tallest free-standing mountain and the raw power of African wildlife makes this one of Tanzania's most memorable journeys.

A 10-day adventure combining Mount Kilimanjaro climbing via the Machame Route with a classic northern Tanzania safari. The journey begins with a 6-day Kilimanjaro climb through rainforest, moorland, and alpine desert to Uhuru Peak at 5,895m, followed by a descent and celebration, then a 2-day wildlife safari through Tarangire and Ngorongoro.
